United States Marshall Frank Reedy was sitting in his office in Washington reading the letter and the message from Jess. He looked at the sketch of Landry, but he didn’t recognize the man. He looked at the list of men Jess had written down and immediately recognized two of them as wanted men. Roy Fournier and Ben Casey both had a bounty on their heads in the amount of five hundred dollars dead or alive. He looked at the ten one hundred dollar bills and saw that Jess was correct; they were all numbered in consecutive order, which was extremely odd. He studied the material for a good half hour and then packaged it up and headed out to talk to a few more people and check with his constituents who worked for the treasury department in Washington regarding the ten one hundred dollar bills. He was worried about what Jess was involved in and he needed answers, and he knew he needed them fast.
